A very small S swell in the Bay 0-1ft on the sets. The wind is W and very clean early. The wind is forecast to be offshore from the SW later. The open beaches and swell magnets will be the pick today.

The NSW lifesaving patrol season ended on Sunday 28 April, however Salt Resort main beach is still patrolled by lifeguards 7 days a week. Byron Main Beach will be patrolled by lifeguards 7 days a week until 9 June, 2013. Please do not take any risks during the off-season period. No Flags = No Swim! The majority of beach patrols will again commence on the first day of the September School Holidays. For more information on lifesaving patrol times and beach/rock fishing safety tips, please visit the Surf Life Saving Australia Beachsafe website at www.beachsafe.org.au
